Format and Review

We accept Articles (10,000+ words), Essays (up to 10,000 words), and Comments (under 3,000 words). Only Articles undergo peer review. The Journal’s print version is published twice a year in the spring and fall, and is preceded by online publication of the same content in the winter and summer.

Submissions are accepted year-round. They need not focus exclusively on blockchain law & policy but at minimum must include significant coverage.

How to Submit

Submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word format either (1) through Scholastica, and use it to keep us updated about any competing offer deadlines; or (2) via email to snam@codex.stanford.edu. Please include a CV/resume.

Citations must conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.

We will conduct expedited reviews for works with publication offers from other journals. An author submitting an expedited review request should specify the offer deadline(s) from the other journal(s).

Due to the volume of manuscripts received, we are unable to respond to every submission.
